Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Arrival at Kigali Airport. Meet and greet with a representative. Transfer to your town hotel for safari briefing and overnight. Depending on your arrival time you can option to explore Kigali City with a visit to the Genocide Memorial.
Overnight: Kigali Serena Hotel
Day 2: Road Journey to Volcanoes National Park
After a relaxed morning you will depart to Ruhengeri – the base of Volcanoes National Park (3 hours travel time). Arrival at your lodge in the early afternoon with time to soak in the environment.
Meals: Breakfast, Picnic-Lunch, Dinner
Overnight Options: Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge or Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes – the ultimate adventure
After breakfast you will set off for the gorilla trekking adventure at Volcanoes National Park. Immerse your self in the dense, lush rainforest as you ascend the slopes of the Virunga’s mountain range. Once you have discovered the mountain gorillas, you can spend one treasured hour with them.
Take it all in: the aromas, the echoes, and the unbelievable landscape of this unique rainforest. An encounter with mountain gorillas is like no other! Savor every moment of this magical experience and watch them eating, playing or teasing each other. Return back to your lodge.

Day 4: Return to Kigali
It is possible to add a trekking adventure to encounter golden monkeys before you return to Kigali. Depending on your international flight departure you will be taken straight to Kigali International Airport or to your town hotel for another night.
