Detailed Itinerary
Arrival Day
Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). After you have passed the passport control, you will be met by your professional safari guide outside the terminal and transferred to your accommodation in Nairobi (driving distance depending on your overnight choice between 45 minutes to 1 hour). Enjoy a welcome dinner and a relaxing evening before starting your Kenya-Tanzania adventure on the next morning.
Day 1: Great Rift View Point and Lake Naivasha
After breakfast depart to Lake Naivasha. Enjoy a boat safari on the lake and a bush walk on Crescent Island to explore wildlife. Don’t forget your binocular to watch out for the numerous water birds that inhabit this area. Proceed to your overnight stay near Lake Nakuru. Included meals: picnic-lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park
In the morning head to the nearby National Park. Lake Nakuru is a bird sanctuary and the surrounding greens are a protected area for the endangered rhinoceros and Rothschilds giraffes. Enjoy the day on game drive throughout the park before returning to your hotel. Included meals: breakfast, picnic-lunch and dinner.
Day 3 and 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Road journey to Kenya’s favorite game reserve: the Masai Mara. More than 450 animal species call this unspoiled nature reserve their home – look out for Africa’s “Big Five” – buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhinoceros, while you explore the park.
The next two days are dedicated to game drive – a wonderful scenery and plenty of game await you here. Masai Mara is the northern extension of the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. Animals are easily visible in the vast grass plains – so expect incredible wildlife encounters. Your camp is located directly within the park. Included meals: breakfast, picnic-lunch and dinner.
Day 5: Border Crossing & Lake Victoria
Early departure from the camp towards the Kenyan-Tanzanian border. Farewell to your Kenyan driver/guide and border crossing. Welcome to Tanzania! Your Tanzanian driver/guide is already waiting for you for the drive to your hotel at Lake Victoria. Leisure and overnight. Depending on your arrival time, you can option for a bird watching walk or a boat safari on the lake itself. Included meals: breakfast, picnic-lunch and dinner.
Day 6 and 7: Serengeti National Park
Road journey to the entrance gate of Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is undeniably Tanzania’s crown jewel with the highest wildlife population in the world. Outstanding game viewings are guaranteed all year around.
The Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti is dominated by open grass plains and acacia trees along the Seronera River. Watch out for buffalos, elephants, giraffes, leopards, lions, zebras and many more. Depending on your travel time, you might even witness the Great Migration. Your camp is located directly in the heart of the park. Included meals: breakfast, picnic-lunch and dinner.
Day 8 and 9: Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy a last game drive in the morning in Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. You might option to stop Olduvai Gorge Museum. Arrival at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
On the following moring, early descent into the legendary Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy a splendid game drive in the world’s largest inactive, unbroken and un-flooded volcanic caldera and search for Africa’s “Big Five” – buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhino! Also enjoy the incredible scenery! A truly magical day in the bush! Included meals: breakfast, picnic-lunch and dinner.
Day 10: Return to Arusha
Optional activities in the morning – depending on your departure time. Afterwards return to Arusha with drop-off according to your onwards travel journey – either in Arusha Town or at Arusha Airport (ARK) / Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
Beach Extensions
Would you like to extend your safari on the mainland of Tanzania with a beach holiday? Tanzania offers some fantastic beach stays directly on the Indian Ocean.

Mafia Island
Mafia Island is a sleepy island located just south of Zanzibar – an exclusive hideaway if you wish to escape the crowds. It is a diver’s paradise, and the marine park offers a large variety of dive options. From September the March is whale shark season – a great adventure to be experienced by snorkeling or scuba diving. Accommodations are limited but provide you with everything you need – excellent quality and service!

Pemba Island
Pemba Island is located just north of Zanzibar. A completely off-the-beaten-track getaway awaits you – quiet and easy-going. It is well known for its diving – incredible dive walls, drop-offs and rich coral gardens. If beach-lounging was what you had in mind, take note that the beaches are not as perfect as in Zanzibar, but there are sandbanks nearby. Only a few scattered properties are found here – simple and rustic, but with a fantastic service!

Zanzibar Island
Zanzibar is everything you imagine of an Indian Ocean Island – beautiful white beaches lined with palm trees and azure-blue waters. It is the most easily accessible island with a short flight from the main land. Various activities apart from sunbathing are available including the historic Stone Town and Spice Tour, Kitesurfing or Dhow Cruises. A large variety of accommodation options that suit every style, budget and desire!
