YOUR BOOKING WITH TANZANIA SAFARI BUG LTD

Your booking with Tanzania Safari Bug Ltd can be made in writing by postal mail or electronically per email. The travel contract becomes legally binding once Tanzania Safari Bug Ltd issues a “Confirmation Invoice & Itinerary”.

Your booking is based on the terms & conditions explained hereafter, and in agreeing to them you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept on behalf of your party (named on the booking form) the terms of these booking conditions.

PAYMENT FOR YOUR TRIP TO AFRICA

Upon conclusion of the contract, an advance deposit payment of 20% will be due. The outstanding balance payment is due 30 days prior to the beginning of the tour. Final travel documents (like accommodation vouchers, domestic flight tickets) will be provided once trip has been paid in full.

Sometimes your booking may require other upfront payments – for example for bookings over peak holidays season or for gorilla permits in Rwanda and Uganda. You will be informed prior to booking your trip with us if an additional deposit is required.

If the deposit and/or balance is not paid in time, we have the right to cancel your travel arrangements and will retain your deposit. If your payment is late, we will send you a reminder and if it is not still not paid, we will be forced to cancel your trip entirely.

Any quote offered to you is valid for 14 days from that date after which we may have to vary the price due to changes in costings.

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BOOKING

If, after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes to be made must be made in writing.

Please be aware that additional charges may occur. Certain travel arrangements may not be changeable after a reservation has been made and any alteration could incur a cancellation of up to 100% of the part of the arrangements.

IF YOU CANCEL YOUR BOOKING

It is possible for the traveler to withdraw from the travel contract at any time before tour commencement. The withdrawal must be declared in writing to Tanzania Safari Bug Ltd. Please ensure that your cancellation is acknowledged by Tanzania Safari Bug Ltd.

After receipt of the written notice of withdrawal, the compensation is calculated using a percentage proportion of the tour price for safaris and accommodations in the following manner:

– 20% of total cost if cancelled up to 61 days prior to scheduled arrival
– 35% of total cost if cancelled 60 to 45 days prior to scheduled arrival
– 50% of total cost if cancelled 44 to 30 days prior to scheduled arrival
– 75% of total cost if cancelled 29 to 8 days prior to scheduled arrival
– 90% of total cost if cancelled 7 days prior to scheduled arrival
– 100% of total cost if cancelled less than 48 hours or no show

We reserve the right to demand higher, individually-calculated compensation for specific damages instead of the above-mentioned fixed rates, provided that Tanzania Safari Bug Ltd can prove that considerably higher expenditures incurred than what is covered by the applicable fixed rate.

Some camps have very high cancellation charges – especially over peak holiday season. We will inform you before booking with us if higher cancellation charges will apply. Gorilla permits are non-refundable, so cost of these will be retained by us on top of the cancellation charges indicated above.

We highly recommend all travelers to obtain a travel insurance.

IF WE CHANGE YOUR BOOKING

Changes to the price: We reserve the right to change the price of your trip to African after you have booked, however, only in certain circumstances.

Changes in the price of the carriage of passengers resulting from changes to the cost of fuel, the level of taxes or fees imposed by third parties including government park entry fees, tourist taxes, landing taxes, embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and airports mean that the price of your travel arrangements may change after you have booked. However, there will be no change within 21 days of your departure.

Changes other than the price: We reserves the right to change the tour route if this is deemed necessary due to street and weather conditions.

IF WE CANCEL YOUR BOOKING

Tanzania Safari Bug Ltd reserves the right to cancel all or part of your booking, if unforeseeable circumstances force us to do so.
