Diving & Snorkeling
The dive sites around Pemba Island are spectacular. The deep Pemba channel rises dramatically towards the island’s west coast with many incredible and healthy reefs plus an exceptional visibility. Due to the strong currents, most diving sides are however ideal for advanced divers only.
However, there are also a few options for snorkelers and diving beginners. Please note that most diving and snorkeling sides are located within a Marine Conservation Area and are subject of an entrance fee of currently USD$ 11.80 per person/per day that needs to be paid in advance.
